The MTSS Intervention Counselor:

  • Creates, implements, and communicates systems of support for students.
  • Develops and utilizes systems of support to provide interventions for students.
  • Focuses on closing the achievement gap of students emphasizing the needs of English learners, foster youth, and students with low socioeconomic status.

The Counselor On Special Assignment (COSA):

  • Support Counselor working with 8th and 9th-grade students
  • Focuses efforts on student outcomes and closing the student achievement gap, emphasizing the needs of English Language Learners, Foster Youth and low socio-economic students.
