Attendance
Regular, on-time attendance contributes to the academic success of our students.
In the event of an absence, students and parents should take responsibility for following this procedure:
CONTACTING ATTENDANCE
To report an all day absence, the best method is via email
pvercammengrandjean@srcs.k12.ca.us and vlopezortega@srcs.k12.ca.us
EARLY RELEASE: (707) 890-3830 X50195
This hotline is to request an early release of your student from school. Please place your call at least one hour before your requested pick-up time. Calls placed less than an hour before the release time requested may not be received in time and may result in delays.
Early releases may be requested days ahead through email only.
If the student is returning during the school day they must check in with the attendance office. If class is in session when they return they will receive a pass. This is also the appropriate time for the student to turn in any medical/legal notes to excuse their time absence.
MHS IS A CLOSED CAMPUS
After arrival, students may not leave during the instructional class day without prior authorization from a parent/guardian. Students who leave without prior authorization will be referred to an administrator.
- Parents must contact the Attendance Office within 10 school days of a student's absence. Please contact us as soon as you know your student will be absent.
- The parent/guardian must call the attendance office each day of a student's absence unless a multi-day absence was already arranged.
- If it is impossible for the parent to call or message the school, the parent must come into the Attendance Office to speak with the Attendance Office staff directly.
Unless exempted, all California students must attend school in a regular full-time program or a continuation program until they are 18 years of age or graduate from high school. If a student is absent, the school must be notified of the reason for the absence.
