Work Permits
Work Permits
Students ages 12-18 who wish to work are required to obtain a work permit. This includes those working during the summer as well as those employed by their family (Ed.C.49141).
Students must maintain a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and have acceptable attendance in order to be eligible.
Applications are available at the Main Office and the Business Office. You may also download work permits here.
Fill out the required information and bring completed permit applications back to:
- (Aug-June) Jessica Rodgers in the Business Office
- (JUL) Jessica Andrade-Bernabe (Registrar) in the Counseling office
Please be sure the following areas are filled out completely and signed.
- Minor Information including the social security number (SSNs are required by state law)
- Parent/Legal Guardian Signature
- Employer Information
A work permit will be issued ready for pick up within 24 hours.

Hours Minors are Allowed to Work
(School's in Session)
- Ages 12-13
- 2 hours per school day and a maximum of 4 hours per week.
- 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
- Ages 14-15

- 3 hours max. per day/18 hours per week.
- 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

- Ages 16-17

- 4 hours max. per day/Mon.-Thurs.
- 8 hours max. per day/Fri.-Sun.
- 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- 5 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. if no school next day.

- Ages 16-17 (Enrolled in Business Co-Op)

- Enrolled in Work Experience.
- 6 hours max. per day/Mon.-Thurs.
- 8 hours max. per day/Fri.-Sun. 40 hours total per week
- 5 a.m. - 10 p.m. (12:30 a.m. on days preceding a non school day).
